Napa County this week released a draft of a data report meant to inform an update of the county’s general plan, a long-range blueprint set to guide the county’s policy direction over the next two decades.
The Baseline Data Report is intended to capture a comprehensive snapshot of Napa County’s current conditions, including land use, conservation, economic development, infrastructure and more, according to a news release. In essence, the report is meant to serve as a technical foundation for the general plan update to be built from.
“The Baseline Data Report provides a clear, data-driven snapshot of conditions across Napa County’s unincorporated areas,” said Brian Bordona, the county’s director of planning, building and environmental services, in a news release. “Community input is essential as we move forward with the General Plan Update, and we encourage residents to review the report and share feedback.”
The draft report, split into five sections, is available on the county website, and residents can give feedback on an online feedback form, with a deadline of April 10. County officials also scheduled two community workshops to discuss the draft: An in-person workshop is scheduled 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at Schmitt Hall in Yountville and a virtual workshop is scheduled 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, March 23.
