Whether it’s deer, rabbits, squirrels or even a new Delabear, you want to see wild animals, and one of the ways is to leave food out to attract them.
But is doing allowed in Delaware?

There are no state-level regulations for feeding wild animals.
There is a local ordinance in New Castle that forbids people from feeding wildlife – including feral cats – in public parks or city-owned property. Any person breaking the law can receive a fine between $25 and $100 or a fine and community service.
Should you feed wild animals at home?
Other than using bird feeders to feed birds, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service recommends you don’t feed wild animals because you could either hurt them or yourself.
