Little Rock, circa 1960: The Coachmen’s Inn was built at East Capitol Avenue and Ferry Street by financiers Jack and Witt Stephens in the 1950s. Its 124 rooms and restaurant were a major draw for years, reportedly a favorite meeting place for politicians. The Political Animals Club was founded there. It was torn down in the 1980s and the location is now home to the main Little Rock Post Office.
