As millions of Americans cope with dangerously cold temperatures and winter storms, it might be tough to take your dog out for a walk, leave cats outside, or keep other animals such as horses, cows and chickens safe in the freezing weather. Veterinarians are offering advice on how best to handle pets during cold weather.
Dr. Rena Carlson, president of the American Veterinary Medical Association, told CBS News Tuesday that it’s important to be prepared for such weather events.
