EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Hundreds of stuffed animals took flight at Chippewa Area Ice Arena for the Chippewa Steel’s annual Teddy Bear Toss.
Fans in attendance had to wait until the final minutes of regulation, but Camden Davis was able to score the only goal of the game to send the stuffed animals onto the ice in celebration.
In prep hockey action, Eau Claire Memorial fell to #1-ranked Stevens Point (SPASH), while the ECA Stars also came up short in their contest with the Central Wisconsin Storm.
On the courts, prep boys basketball matchups included Altoona vs. McDonell at the Target Center, West Salem vs. Hudson, Ashland vs. Amery and Menomonie vs. Somerset.
In the pool, prep boys swimmers from across Wisconsin descended on Eau Claire North High School for the annual Santa Claus Invite.
