Here’s a proposition: Take a bicycle ride on an award-winning coastal trail system and get a discount on your stay at The Lodge in Gulf State Park.
The offer comes from the Alabama Coastal Foundation, which is offering a Winter Good Life Ride on Jan. 31. The ride will explore the acclaimed Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trails, a network of walking and biking paths that connect Gulf State Park to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
A guided 9-mile ride will begin at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 31 and participants will receive a free tour of the new Gulf Coast Eco Center. A limited number of discounted rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis to those who register before noon on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
To receive a discounted registration code, register for the ride via a link at www.goodliferide.org or www.joinacf.org. An ACF representative described the offer as “a deep discount” but did not provide an exact value.
This free winter ride is not to be confused with the ACF’s annual fund-raising Good Life Ride held on Mothers Day weekend. Information on that ride will be released in mid-January.
There is no age limit on participation.
