March 22 (UPI) — Over 4.7 million animals have died due to freezing conditions, according to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The IFRC says that about 76% of Mongolia is now experiencing weather conditions called Iron Dzud and White Dzud, where livestock cannot feed due to the terrain being blanketed and waterways are obstructed. According to the IFRC, Mongolia is experiencing the worst winter conditions in 50 years.
