HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale is not taking stray dogs to the Hinsdale Humane Society, but rather to DuPage County Animal Services in Wheaton, an official said Monday.
On July 10, the society notified Hinsdale that it would no longer allow the village to bring animals to its local facility until a contract had been signed and executed, Hinsdale Police Chief Brian King said in an email to Patch. The prohibition took effect at 5 p.m. Friday, he said.
The contract is set for consideration at the Village Board’s Aug. 13 meeting, the chief said.
