A dog named Buddy was found severely neglected and injured in a Harborcreek Township hotel room in December 2022.
Buddy’s owner, pet breeder Jaime L. Smalley, was convicted of aggravated animal cruelty for failing to provide veterinary care.
Buddy, a shih tzu, suffered from paralysis, eye ulcers and burns, and was euthanized due to the severity of his pain.
The dog, named Buddy, was near death when a clerk at a hotel in Harborcreek Township found him in a room in December 2022.
Buddy, a shih tzu, was underweight, severely matted and suffered from ulcers on both eyes and burns on his paws from urine, according to court records.
