The fall equinox arrived on Monday, bringing the official, this-time-we-really-mean-it end of summer. Sure, there might be more 80-degree days ahead, but we’re closer to Halloween than Independence Day, and it’s time to start thinking about apple cider doughnuts, hayrides and patches full of perfect pumpkins.
The next few weekends are the perfect time to pack up your friends or kids or both and head out to the country, spending a day taking hayrides, meeting piglets, browsing pumpkin patches or getting lost in a corn maze.
